Thorn Performance is a physiotherapy and pilates clinic based in North Kilworth, Leicestershire, run by Chartered Physiotherapist, Josie Logue.
I offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and conditions.
My treatment approach is very hands-on and will generally consist of a course of manual therapy and/or acupuncture alongside corrective exercises and tailored advice and guidance to get you back to full health.
Pilates can be used as part of your recovery, and then further into preventative rehab as you build your strength and return to other activities, hobbies or sports.
Physiotherapy treats pain and stiffness in your joints, muscles, nerves and soft tissues.
Physiotherapists are trained to do more than just treat the symptoms, but to expertly identify and treat the root causes.
Don't wait for injury to strike before seeking treatment.
More than just a treatment for injuries, sports massage produces overwhelming benefits physically, physiologically and psychologically.
Sports massage is designed to prepare the athlete for their best performance, reduce fatigue, and relieve muscle swelling and tension.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine stainless steel needles into the skin. It has been used in China for over 2,000 years and increasingly in Western Medicine since the 1970s.
Acupuncture can be combined with other physiotherapy treatments such as exercise, manual therapy and relaxation techniques. It can also be used when other more conventional treatments have failed.
We provide physiotherapist led pilates classes for every ability and age, this can be in group classes or private one-to-one sessions.

I studied my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney, Australia. After spending 8 years in Australia have returned home to the UK in 2016 to work and travel a bit closer to home.
During my time in Australia I spent 2 years working at Phyx You, a MSK Sports & Rehab Clinic on the NSW Mid-North Coast (Port Macquarie) where I had the opportunity of working alongside a variety of elite athletes from Cross-fitters to IronMen, to royal ballerinas to international rugby players.
